The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) is committed to creating and maintaining a learning and working environment that is free from unlawful discrimination based on sex in accordance with Title IX of the Higher Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs or activities; Title VII of the Civil Rights act of 1964 (Title VII), which prohibits sex discrimination in employment; and the Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act, Clery Act, and the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). Sexual Harassment and Retaliation under this Policy will not be tolerated by UMMC and is grounds for disciplinary action, up to and including, permanent dismissal from UMMC and/or termination of employment.

Title IX Coordinator and Staff
UMMC’s Title IX Coordinator and additional staff are trained in Title IX law, policy and procedure and are prepared to address concerns about sexual misconduct and related issues at UMMC. Contact the Title IX Coordinator and Title IX staff for assistance.
Report a Concern
Reports of sexual misconduct may be made to the Title IX Coordinator in any of the following ways, by anyone, at any time: by email at TitleIX@umc.edu, by phone at 601-815-7978, by submitting the Report a Concern online form, or by mail. Reports may be made to the Title IX Coordinator in person at 2500 North State Street, Jackson, MS 39216 during normal business hours.
